We’re Having Sex:

·       Use effective contraception to prevent pregnancy

·       Avoid drinking alcohol and having unprotected sex

·       Don’t drink if there’s a chance you could be pregnant

·       Follow Canada’s Low Risk Alcohol Drinking Guidelines

 

We’re Trying:

·       Avoid drinking alcohol if you are trying to have a baby

·       Encourage your partner to stop drinking as well

·       Get support for substance use if you have trouble reducing your drinking

 

We’re Pregnant:

·       Avoid drinking alcohol if you are pregnant

·       Go alcohol-free to support women who are pregnant in your life

·       Major life changes and…

·       Connect with a trusted health care or service provider if you have consumed alcohol during pregnancy
